Hydropower is a well-known, mature technology in North, Central and South America, and it provides over 50 per cent of total electricity in several of its countries. These continents are home to three of the top five countries in terms of hydropower capacity.
In this session we will hear from leading experts on the opportunities and challenges facing hydropower development and operations in the Americas, with a view to identifying the similarities, differences and opportunities to learn from best practices.
