Location/room:
Date:
Thursday, April 8, 2027
Time:
09:30–10:45

Overview

As countries work to triple renewable energy capacity by 2030, attention is turning to what comes next. This plenary will take a forward-looking view on global renewable ambitions beyond the end of the decade, examining the pathways, policy frameworks and system innovations needed to scale clean energy to 2050 and electrify the grid.

Leaders from major renewable energy associations, united under the umbrella of the Global Renewables Alliance, will discuss how collaboration between technologies can accelerate progress, strengthen energy security and help meet surging electricity demand.

Alongside this strategic outlook, the session will highlight emerging examples of renewable integration in practice, from hybrid projects to system-level planning approaches, showing how wind, solar and hydropower and storage can work together to deliver a flexible and resilient future energy system. Because water, wind and sun gets the job done!
