Nuki Agya Utama, PhD, is an accomplished energy professional. He currently holds the position of Executive Director at the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE), a prominent think tank specialising in the ASEAN energy sector. As an Advisory Board member of the Asia Pacific Energy Research Centre (APERC) and the Global Future Council for the World Economic Forum, he contributes his expertise to shaping the energy landscape.

With a background in environment and energy technology, Dr. Utama's work extends to green design and renewable energy. His extensive consultancy experience includes roles as an expert on energy efficiency for the Java-Bali steam power plant, consultant for the Ministry of Industry's renewable energy and energy efficiency study, and team leader for a rural electrification research project.

Dr. Utama's career highlights include positions such as Senior Sustainability Consultant - Energy at NIKE Inc, Jakarta and leadership roles at Surya University, where he served as the Head of the Environmental Engineering Department and concurrently directed the Sustainable and Smart City research centre. His contributions extend globally, having been a post-doctoral fellow at Kyoto University Graduate School of Energy Science, where he worked on ASEAN energy planning and power generation optimisation.

With a PhD degree in Environment and Energy Technology, Dr. Utama's expertise includes life cycle energy analysis and environmental impact assessment for buildings. His collaborations with organisations like the United Nations Environment Programme and the United Nations Development Programme further showcase his commitment to renewable energy technology and sustainable building design.
